New PACE High School Design Taking Shape

The design for the new PACE High School is beginning to take shape.  Thanks to input from the local PACE Design Team, the project architects from ALSC Architects have been busy refining design concepts for the new school.  ALSC and the builder, Absher Construction, are using a set of guiding principles generated by the local team to design a school that is functional, safe, affordable and reflects the uniqueness of the community.  Some of those guiding principles include celebrating the past, present and future, creating a school where students are prideful, everyone feels welcome, and one that demonstrates a responsible use of public funds.

The PACE Design Team includes a variety of stakeholders from PACE staff and students, community members and district administrators.  The architects and builder have been collaborating with the local design team since September.  The remaining design process will take place over the next couple of months.  Groundbreaking is expected to take place in late spring or early summer of next year with completion scheduled for the summer of 2026.

The new school is being built with part of the $33-million construction bond voters approved in February.
