There was an error in the "Special Filing Period for School Board Seat" story that appeared in the June edition of the "Your Wapato Schools" newsletter mailed to homes in early June.  The story indicated that there is a vacant filing for Director District #2.  The vacant filing is actually in Director District #1.  Please see the full story below with the corrected information. 
  The candidate filing week that took place in mid-May did not result in anyone signing up to run for one of two Wapato School Board positions that are up for election this year. The vacant filing is for Director District #1. If you live in District #1 and are interested in running there will be another opportunity to file coming up August 7th-9th. For more information about the geographical area of District #1 please refer to the School Board Director District Maps under the School Board tab of the District’s website at www.wapatosd.org.
