District's Migrant Graduation Specialist Receives State Honor

Congratulations to the District's Migrant Graduation Specialist, Reyna Quiroz. She has been selected to receive the Washington State Migrant Education Program's "PASS Contact Person of the Year" award for the 2017-18 school year. PASS stands for Portable Assisted Study Sequence.  It is a program provided by the State's Migrant Education Office that offers fully accredited high school courses that can be completed by a student semi-independently. By completing PASS courses, a student makes up credit deficiencies, catches up with peers, and is encouraged to continue and graduate.  Reyna will be recognized during an awards luncheon that takes place during the State Migrant Education Program Conference in Yakima in mid-August.  Thanks Reyna for all you do for Wapato students.
